Gruntled Funk

Gruntled Funk is a series of works by artist Ryan Higa that depict the strange and humorous world hovering between cute and the sinister. Higa’s art practice focuses on whimsical paintings and sculptures that keep people smiling, curious and open.

Higa was born and raised in Hawai‘i and has collections featured at The Contemporary Museum in Honolulu as well as in private collections in the U.S., Japan and Europe.
